The mechanisms of value creation have become detached from the realities they once measured. Our mission is to chart this great abstraction — to understand how systems built on tangible foundations have drifted into symbolic self-reference, and what that means for the stability of finance, governance, and society itself.
Each essay applies a multidisciplinary lens — blending financial analysis, systems thinking, and historical context — to uncover the underlying structures that link economic behavior to social and political outcomes. We aim to make the complex intelligible without oversimplifying it, providing readers with the tools to see through the abstractions that dominate modern discourse.
This project grew from decades of experience in investment management, corporate leadership, and the offshore financial services sector. Having witnessed firsthand the widening divide between economic narrative and economic truth, Fundamental Reversion was founded to restore clarity, discipline, and coherence to the analysis of global systems.
We are not beholden to any institution, sponsor, or ideology. Independence is both our method and our mandate — allowing us to explore ideas freely, critique power honestly, and follow evidence wherever it leads.
